Sunny and Lucky - cockatiel and conure

When I first became a bird owner I got a budgie. Then I got another budgie and been collecting since then. Several years later I got Sunny (cockatiel) for my 12th birthday.

He was first very scared of me then we eventually bonded. He is a very sweet bird. He isn't so good with new people. He will step up but he will try to nip. Once he gets to know you he will become more friendly. He also can say a few words. "Sunny," "pretty bird," and sometimes "what are you doing?" He will whistle songs, and play peekaboo and sometimes laugh.

He loves to sit on my shoulder while I slice up vegetables for my two budgies. All of this went on until one day it all changed. That day was when Sunny became a big brother. When I got Lucky (GCC) Things have changed for Sunny. He became very suspicious and gave me that 'are you hiding something from me' look. Then I knew it was time for Sunny to meet his new baby brother.

Sunny wasn't too impressed. He'd hiss at Lucky and give him dirty looks. But as the days went on they began to get along. They are becoming closer everytime they see one another. I'm very grateful to have Sunnybird and baby Lucky:)
