2 pinks lumps on my birds back

I have A new cockatiel and ive had him for about 2 months and he has 2 pink lumps on his back that are symettrical and they show when he takes a bath.

is it his preening gland? i dont know what to do Help!!

What was it after all?My father has a canary with the same lumps.We noticed them yesterday.

Please post a picture, if possible. Also, where on it's back are the bumps?

There is a preen gland at the base of the tail, but not anywhere else. Dr B can not examine your bird or the bumps, so you need to take your bird to an avian vet for an in person exam.
