3 week old baby canary injured

my baby canary that i have been hand feeding was not far from leaving the nest. i put him into the avary to see if the mother or father would look after him again, the father started to feed it again which was great so i left him in the avary for the night. the next morning i found the baby canary on the ground half dead.

i also have rabbits in the avary with babies and the rabbits had pulled most of its feathers out and savaged one of its wings. i did my best to clean the canary up and i really thought it would die. the little fighter has survived and feeding well. i have been putting a dialuted spray on its wing for the past 4 days of water and betadine to stop any infection. it seems to be doing well but am i doing the right thing. will it ever regrow its feathers and fly.
