30 year old cockatoo is losing grip in her right foot and her stomach is gurgling

by Joanne
(Broward, FL)

30 year old cockatoo is losing grip in her right foot and her stomach is gurgling. She's eating well and when I removed all perches, she still tried to climb to the top of the cage. Being a holiday weekend, I haven't been able to get her to the vet. I've never heard her stomach gurgle. Does anyone have any experience with this?
I'm keeping her in an enclosed shower with a towel on the floor so she can't try to climb anything with food and water.
I can't wait for tomorrow to be here and get her to the vet but would appreciate any ideas.

Thanks

Cockatoo not gripping

I am sorry your question didn't get posted until today, Tuesday. As stated on the website, I personally have to sign into my account to post questions and and comments to keep the porn and awful stuff people try to put on this website.

Please let us know how your vet appointment went. I couldn't have helped your bird anyway, you did the best you could without a 24hr vet clinic in your area.

Ask your avian vet who your nearest 24hr clinic should be for your bird(s) so that you can keep that number on your refrigerator.

I hope you Find an Avian Vet for your bird.
