34 year old blue crowned conure may have tumor?

Hello,
Flapjack, our 34 year old blue crowned conure has been in our family since my father purchased him as a baby from a pet store. He was born in captivity I'm assuming from a breeder. My sister and I have both shared having flapjack in our homes after my father moved on.

He has become more sensitive and won't let me touch his feathers anymore. So, the casings on his tail feathers and head feathers are getting worse, and I can't figure out how to get them off.

He bathes fairly often, but never gets completely in the water. What we are most concerned about is the tumor which we think is inside of his left leg, and he seems to either be scared or in pain whenever something touches him. Like the toys in his cage, if something touches him he screams very loudly suddenly. It's uncommon of his personality. What should we do?

Conure with possible tumor

I am so very sorry to hear about your bird. There really isn't anything Dr B can suggest or do without examining your bird in person. Please take your bird to an avian vet for an exam.

I feel you heart, and that you love your bird. I hope that everything turns out okay.
