5 Year Old CAG Has been pink for 3 weeks

I had my birds wings clipped 3 weeks ago, and it obviously stressed him terribly. He stopped talking for about a week, starting plucking feathers, and his face was blushed or pink. He now is talking again, not as much as before, however, his face has remained pink now going on 4 weeks. I have read that this could happen, but should it be this way for this long? Is a pink face in an African Grey a sign of sickness?

Pink face on AG
by: The Vet

Have you recently given your bird a full spectrum lamp?

The wing clip could have been done incorrectly and is causing discomfort. It is also possible that the handling was incorrect and frightened him unnecessarily.

The pick face may be stress related short term, but long term it is more than stress. Infection may cause it, as well as being too hot.

You should have your bird examined, but not by whomever clipped the wings if that was so traumatic.
