Baby birds have to be weighed every single day using a gram scale made for birds. If a baby does not gain weight every day, then all the babies are suffering from bacterial infections. These infections kill them quickly because the babies have no immune systems with which to fight an infection. If one baby does not gain weight on any given day, this is a signal to get all of them into see an Avian Vet immediately to have the infection diagnosed and be prescribed medicine to get them well. These infections are highly contageous and could even have come from the parents if they were not checked out by an Avian Vet before breeding.

Also, you need to take out the nest box after this batch either lives or dies, throughly clean cage, box and all surrounding areas because bacterial and viral infections stay around for periods of time. Have the parents examined before anymore breeding to make sure they are not infected and passing it on to their young. These are the basics of breeding birds and not something new.
