7 year old conure favoring banded leg

7 year old conure (female) "Babygirl" favoring her (banded) left leg. I noticed 3 days ago my conure "escaped" her cage when I left the room and perched atop the bedroom door where she proceeded to tear at the wallpaper,I entered the room and saw her flutter at the door top,it seemed her left foot was caught in the chewed up wallpaper as she tried to fly off the door top, since then she has been favoring her left leg, holding it to her chest most often than not but I have seen her use it to walk on my shoulder and gingerly to a perch where she will squack and lift her foot back to her chest, there is no swelling or redness but her left toe shows a crease atop it that is pink, this bird is the love of my life as pets go,best mannered I have ever had, given the lack of "tells" I was wondering if she perhaps twisted her toe or broke or sprained it,I cannot get a Avian Vet appointment for 5 days anywhere in Baton Rouge and I am worried of a possible infection, what can I do to help her without a vet?

Bird with injured leg

You need to find an avian vet that doesn't put people off for 5 days. Please use this Find an Avian Vet link to find an avian vet for your bird.
