a few concerns about my ring neck

by dina
(ilford)

I bought an indian ring neck today i have a few concerns i hope you can help me.

i've noticed she has dark stools with very little white, is this normal?

also she tilts her head right back and makes a tut tut sound

and most of the time she holds one leg buried

I have her with my two cockatiels and apart from one minor attack she seems ok with them, do you think i should keep them together? the tiels don't seem to mind although they are a little quiet today

i appreciate any help you can give me

kindest regards
dina

a few concerns about my ring neck

Please put the Ringneck into its own cage immediately. The Cockatiels are a very docile type of bird while the Ringneck is very aggressive. The RN will end up either killing one or both of your Cockies or will severely injure them. Never put new birds of any kind in with other birds. All new birds have to be caged separately, and the more aggressive birds have to be caged alone or with one of their own kind once new bird has become known. Do some reading about your birds before getting anymore because if you had already done your homework, you'd know not to put aggressive with docile because the less aggressive birds will be hurt.
