african grey, always itchy his beak and his neck

My African grey is always rubbing his beak on everything, he always wants me to scratch it and the top of his head and down his neck, why is he always so itchy and what can I do for him?

It is hard to say. It could be allergies, a dry environment (needing humidity) or even a bacterial infection.

I suggest you Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird.

If you are feeding colored pellets, peanuts, or other high sugar, potentially has mold spores (peanuts) or table food that has who knows what chemicals and salt added, then allergies is possible. Your bird should be eating 80% high quality pellets and the rest healthy treats. Switching Birds To Pellets article

If your bird does not have a water bottle for drinking, but has a dish that has bacteria water for the bird to drink, bathe, clean his beak and poop in, then a bacterial infection is possible.
