New bird not eating
by: Tracie

The bird is probably eating, just now when you are looking. Change the paper in the bottom of the cage, measure an exact amount of the food you are feeding the bird, and check a few hours later to see if there is poop on the bottom of the cage and measure what food is left.

You should be feeding the bird the exact food it ate at the previous home, and slowly convert the bird to a high quality pellet diet if you have pellets available where you are.

If you discover the bird is not eating, then use this Find an Avian Vet link to find an avian vet for your bird so it can be examined to determine what is wrong and what the potential treatment might be.
