AG parrot with spinal injury
by: The Vet

This is not enough information for me to be able to give you a prognosis for your bird. The recovery time is dependent on the severity of the injury, which determines whether the nerves are just swollen or completely torn. If the nerves are swollen, typically treatment will reduce them enough immediately to show improvement within a couple of hours, and full recovery in a few days. If there fractures of the back bone, this will take much longer too heal. If there are severed nerves, they will never heal.

I am sorry to hear that you bird has been injured. I hope that he recovers.
