we have purchased an african grey, and i think he is a male.
when my son goes up to him, and ask,s him to step up he squakes and goes to bite him, he also does this to my wife at times, he never does it to me at any time, and i spend less time with him. i purchased him as a companion for my son,and he is upset about it,any help would be appriciated. many thanks in advance.

Bird aggressive toward child

Please read the articles on our Parrot Training page for more help. The one that might help you the most is about a Green Cheek Conure, but the method we used to train our conure to NOT bite me would be the same.

Since you are the favored "flock member" you will be the one to help the bird know it can not bite the ones you love. It takes time, but it can be done. Be encouraged. :-)
