african grey spitting up is this normal?

Kelly, birds do regurgitate to show their affection for a person or toy or pet that they love. It is usually not done much, and the good rule of thumb is whether there is undigested food in it or not. If there is undigested food in it, then the bird is very sick and needs to be seen in person by an Avian Vet in your driving area.

So, if it is basically clear liquid not done very often, then it is a sign of affection as bird is mimicing his Mother when she fed him. If it has undigested food in it then the bird is sick with something causing it to be unable to digest its food and needs medical attention right away.

Thanks for writing,
Linda
