african greys feathers

hi i brought a pair of african greys a month ago was told the back of the males neck was plucked due to breeding!! when i asked when the last time they breed i was told feb this year! he still hast got the feathers back missing on his neck but does have down and im getting worried as i have them in a room outside with a heater but still see him shivering sometimes on the cctv!! he is feeding her etc but as the cold weather drwas in will he be ok? how long will it take for feathers to grow back on the neck? regards richard

Neck feathers missing after breeding

Depending on the extent of the damage, the feathers may not grow back. If they do, it could take 3-6 months. You need to keep the temp to at least 55.
