alexandrin parrot breeding

dear tracie i had an alexandrine parrot pair for 10 years. the male passed away last july. its female has laid 3 eggs about one week ago. whereas we have no male parrot in our house. how is it possible? i ahve no info regarding this. please guide

I am so sorry for your loss. Female birds do not need a male in order to lay eggs, just to fertilize them. Please read our Chronic Egg Laying article for information on caring for birds that lay eggs.
