I have been given an amazon parrot who is about 25 years old. It has never been out of its cage and wont even come out if i leave the door open all day. Is it ok to put it in a bigger cage after all this time?

Bigger cage for Amazon

How sweet of you to want to get him a new cage!

It is hard to say, I noticed that he plucks his chest, is he a nervous type bird? It could just be that he needs more toys to chew.

I would think that a larger cage with branch-like perches all over to exercise his feet and lots of toys to chew and destroy would be great for him.
