please help. is it normal for a blue fronted amazon to sleep most of the day. he is not active like the african grey. also does not want to eat his vegetables. eats fruit and organic rolled oats and a little yogurt mornings. during the day refuses to eat enything else, waits for seeds in evenings which i give sparingly. please help, i do not want him to get sick.

Amazon parrot sleeping and bad diet

No, it is not normal for a bird to sleep most of the day. Please Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird. Also, ask the avian vet what healthy food is available there in your country.

Here in the US and many countries, we feed our parrots Harrison's or Roudybush pellets as 80% of their diet and only 20% healthy treats.
