Amazon Sneezing?

by Emm

Hello, I have had an orange wing amazon for 26 years and a about 4 months ago he started sneezing, usually in the evenings. I don't know if this is sneezing or just blowing air out of his nostrils, I have never heard a parrot sneeze! Otherwise his behavior for him is normal; eating, playing, poop looks fine, nothing around or coming out of the nostrils. Maybe alergies? His environment has not been changed, nothing new in the house, I have not changed any kind of cleaners that I use, etc.
Any help would be appriciated!!

My amazon sneezes alot as well
by: Josh

Hi Emm, I have an orange winged amazon, 26 years old as well and he doesn't sneeze alot but when he does it is like 20-30 times. I was wondering if you spoke to any vets to see what the problem might be.
The reason I'm asking you this is I live in the Bahamas and we don't have a bird vet where I live and it would be difficult to get him to the US to see a vet. I really would appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you.

Amazon started sneezing

It could be allergies, it could be a bacterial infection. Dr B can not tell over the Internet, you need to Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird in person.
