anti-biotic cream safe for cockateils

My lutino cockateil that i just got about 6 months ago is scratching her eye to the point where it bleeds. I give her lots of baths and it seems to help for a while it always heals up for about 2 momths but then it comes back i want to put an anti-biotic cream on it but i dont know whats safe............HELP

over the counter creams for birds

Dr B does not have ANY over-the-counter creams that he can suggest. He suggests that you take your bird to an avian vet for an exam, and let the avian vet offer the exact treatment your bird needs.

How do you know the bird needs an anit-biotic? What if it is a fungal infection? What if it is just a seed hull that needs to be washed out?
