Baby bird feeding

You will need to buy some handfeeding formula and mix and warm according to directions on the package. You can find it here, and you can find it in a pet store as well. This has to be fed with a syringe several times a day to make sure your bird is eating enough. Your bird will die at this age in a day or two without proper food.

Take this bird to an Avian Vet in your area and have them show you how to handfeed him. Baby parrots have to be handfed for 3-4 four months for the Amazons, and the larger Macaws and Cockatoos need to be supplemented with handfeeding formula until they are 6-9 months old. Most people don't feed them this long, and the Macaws and Cockatoos are emotionally damaged when they don't. Their Mothers feed their babies all the way up to a year if necessary while they are learning to eat regular food.

Take this baby to an Avian Vet immediately or it will die. Have them show you how to handfeed and have them give you some of the correct size syringes for your size bird.

Please don't wait to get this bird some medical attention and food as you will lose him if you wait or keep trying to feed when you don't know how. Also get busy learning about your bird and his needs as soon as you have him eating a good food.
