Baby budgie

That baby budgie is cute. I remember when mine were babies.

Does your budgie have plenty of destructable toys to chew and pick at?

If not, I woul suggest getting soem as all parrots and parakeets need a constant supply of toys to destroy.

It is normal for your budgie to nibble and chew. It is just beong lovable and also exhibiting normal budgie behaviour.

Budgie nibbles on clothing
by: Tracie

Congratulations on taming your budgie! Yes, it is normal for birds to nibble on clothing, ears, spots on your body etc. You can train them not to do this. I suggest you put a towel or purchase a bird cape for when your budgie is on you. That will keep the bird from chewing on your clothing and keep the poop off you too. :-)

We have some health and training articles on our Parrot Training page that may be of interest to you.
