baby cockatiel constantly begging for food

Hey i purchased a 2 month old albino cockatiel 1 week ago. Since then it has been on hand feeding only. It does not eat anything by itself, neither does it seem interested in the cage. Also after being fed properly also it keeps begging for food when returned in the cage (Seems normal when it is in my lap though). Please help me, because I dont know how long will I be able to keep hand feeding my bird.

Hopefully, you are handfeeding baby parrot handfeeding formula made for baby parrots. It is a dry product to which you add water and heat up for the baby bird. Cockatiels need to be eating a 10cc syringe full of this formula several times a day. Your bird will not just stop eating formula because weaning is a process and takes a while to happen. Baby bird has to be offered regular food along with the formula in the form of organic pellets soaked with a little bit of water just to get them a little soft and easier to eat.Any wet food has to be changed out every two hours or it will poison the bird.

I suggest you find out information on the internet about how to wean your bird. Also, if you are feeding anything besides the baby parrot formula your bird is starving to death which would be why it keeps crying for food.
