NEVER EVER GET BABY BIRDS IF YOU DO NOT BREED
by: Anonymous

WOW It never seems to Amaze me how many "Breeders" out there are willing to let there young ones suffer. And there customers!! It just makes me SO MAD!! Then when you take good care of them and go to sell a healthy bird nobody wants to pay you for your work!! Stop trying to be something you are not....a breeder go pay for a healthy bird and stop putting that poor bird through all of that for nothing. I have been feeding these for years and NEVER had a problem like you are having Because I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING!!!! YOU DON'T!!! You do not see me going into your place of work trying do do your job to get a better deal??? Say out of mine!!!!

Call the breeder
by: Tracie

Hello Laura,

What you really need to do is take the bird back to the breeder and do not bring the bird back home until the breeder has spent time with you teaching you all there is to know about hand feeding.

It is just plain wrong that breeders sell birds that are not weaned. They make their money without doing the work, so it is good for them but the birds suffer.

Please call the breeder and get help. Then when it is time to bring the bird home, make sure the breeder takes the bird to an avian vet and gives you proof that the bird is healthy before bringing the bird home.

I am not a breeder, so I can not help you with what is normal. I just know that your breeder should be the first person you contact since they should be responsible for their own birds. If the breeder doesn't know what to do then you need to take the bird to an avian vet ASAP.
