Lumps in baby bird's chest

The thing on his chest could be his crop. I recommend that you have your babies examined by an avian veterinarian.

No, it is not normal, and the rest of the babies are dead in the shell. You have something very bad going on with your birds, and only an Avian Vet you take them to in person can help you.

Take the baby to an Avian Vet in your driving area immediately and take the parents in as well because if the parents have infections or disease, this is passed onto the babies. Find an Avian Vet

We highly recommend all birds be examined prior to breeding for this reason. If parents are sick or have some physical issues, this is passed onto the babies, and they either die in the egg or die shortly after hatching. The boil on this baby must be seen to or it will die like the rest.

Take the nestbox out of cage, and take the parents and baby to Avian Vet. Have tests done for bacterial and viral infections, also have some basic blood tests run to see if parents have any problems with organ function or if a virus is found in the blood.

Before birds go back into cage, break cage down and clean it out using a bird safe cleaner. This would best be done outside and then rinse cage and let it dry in the sun if it's not too cold.

Your breeding is OVER for now and until you find what is wrong with your birds. They need to be eating a healthy diet or else they will never be able to breed successfully.
