A few questions

One thing that I've learned is that it never hurts to get your bird checked out if you are worried about something. Remember- usually something is very wrong by the time you can see symptoms. Has the bird always been this way? If so, it might not be a big deal. Does the bird get plenty of time at night to sleep? Birds need 12-14 hours of quality sleep every night. Do you cover the bird's cage? Does he have a hutch to sleep in? Is it the right size for him?
If it were me, I think I'd schedule a check-up with the vet and make sure that he was able to get high-quality sleep at night and plenty of it.

Baby Parrots sleep a lot
by: Tracie

Hello,

Baby parrots do sleep all the time. Usually the bird stays with the breeder until it is weaned. Twenty-five days old is still very young.

If you have concerns about your baby bird, please call your breeder or take the bird to an avian vet.
