They come out when they are finished being fed by the Mother. You are supposed to check the babies and weigh them using a gram scale everyday to make sure they have gained weight everyday. If you don't do this and they have infections, they could probably be dead by now. Not gaining weight is the first sign of sick babies, and all are sick if one is sick because these infections are highly contageous.

Baby parrots have to be checked on each day and weighed, and this is how you find out if they are doing well or are sick and in need of a visit to an Avian Vet in your area.

Nest boxes have to be hung outside cage with a hinged lid so the babies can be taken out and weighed or fed as needed. The two smaller ones sometimes have to be handfed by you because the larger babies get all the food. The nest box front with the perch and hole are all that should be inside cage if you have a breeding cage with the flap that is open for the box and can be closed when not in use.

I suggest you check on the babies right away and learn what you need to learn before ever breeding again. You have to have the right kind of cage, nestbox, and you have to have learned how to handfeed baby parrot handfeeding formula using a syringe. This is a learned skill which has to be taught to you by a breeder who will show you how to safely prepare the formula and feed babies.

Thanks for writing,
Linda

Depends what breed you have as they are all different. Look up on google about your breed for some advice, even better if there is a breeder near you go to talk to them
