baby peachface with few feathers

he holds one leg out straight. i can hold him with his leg bent under him but he straightens it out when i release him. is this caused by inbreeding. i think that is the word.

Splay leg in Lovebird

This sounds like a case of splay leg. Common in baby lovebirds. It is sometimes genetic, sometimes nutritional, sometimes a combination of these causes and can also be caused by improper bedding in the nest box.
