If your bird is completely weaned, you may feed it small amounts of the dark green, yellow and orange veggies. These need to be organically grown and not from regular grocery. I'd like to see you get your bird onto organic pellets like Harrisons or some other kind of organic, high quality pellet. Junk pellets like ZuPreem and Lafaebers are just that, JUNK. All seed diets with or without fruit and veggies are starvation diets for parrots, and you will have much more sickness and other problems than if you wean your bird onto high quality organic pellets. Harrisons is found here, and I've fed it for many years to my Amazons, and they are healthy with lovely feathers and healthy skin.

It takes time to change from junk pellets or seeds to the pellets and below is link on how to go about it written by an Avian Vet.

Switching Birds To Pellets article

All birds move at different rates on the changeover, and remember to feed NO human food, and no junk food during the change. It is also recommended that your bird be examined by an Avian Vet ONLY prior to beginning any dietary changes. Birds can have infections and cover them up until they are too sick to stand, so you may wish to have yours examined by a licensed and trained Avian Vet ONLY.
