beak upper part has a white substance.

my 17 yr. old moluccan cockatoo had something on the outside of her beak, when i wiped it off it seemed like mucous with a faint red spot, about the size of a pin point.
when i looked inside her mouth i noticed that under her upper beak there was something white on it. the best description is than it looked like a piece of cooked thin egg noodle. it was ver neatly shaped,no rough edges or drainage
is it something that has always been there and i just never noticed it? ie. normal beak look?
or does it sound like she needs to go to vet. she seems perfectly normal. eating pooping, screaming:)
thank you for your help

This is not normal and should be examined by an avian veterinarian. Find an Avian Vet
