Bird behaviour

I have a pearly conure named Taco who has just started a new behaviour. Taco perches on my head and rubs up and down while making a small chirping sound. Taco only does this to me and not to my husband and two teen age boys. I do not know what sex Taco is, he/she is 2 1/2 yrs old. We just moved from alberta to new brunswich.

Is this behaviour something I should be concerned about?

Breeding behavior
by: Tracie

This sounds like breeding behavior to me. When the bird does this, put him back in his cage and do not encourage it. You can shorten the daylight hours to simulate winter and this may help to.

Other suggestions for curbing this behavior is not petting the bird down the back, just scritch it's head, and ignore any other breeding behavior to make it clear that you can not be his mate.
