hi, I have 2 parakeets. My female keeps eating the seeds of the ground is that normal?

Bird eating from bottom of cage

Yes,it is completely normal because they are ground feeders. You must get a cage that has a grate the separates the poopy paper from the the bird.

If you continue to keep this cage, the bird will potentially eat spoiled food and such and get sick. Purchase a cage that has a grate, it looks like the sides of the cage, and drawer under the grate that pulls out for you to change the paper.
