Bird with stuffy nose and aggressive

by Shreya

Since my cousins left from my house my budgie-parakeet has been a little bit aggresive, he's molting, and he has a stuffy nose and flickering tail. I also boticed he stays awake even when I cover him at night. Is he sick and in need of medical attention? My family isn't very rich and we can't afford to bring him to the vet, please reaply quick... i'm very worried.

There are 3 people in my family (mom, dad, me) and 5 realtives left yesterday... when they were here he was ignored for 4-5 days. He didn't take a shower in 2 weeks and didn't have his cage scrubbed in 2-3 weeks. I don't give him much fruit but he eats normally. Please give me a solution. Reply as soon as possible!

Yes, your bird is in need of medical attention. Please Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird right away. Your bird probably has a bacterial infection, but it could be anything really. There is not anything over the counter that will help, you must have a vet examine the bird and determine what is wrong and get a prescription for exactly what is wrong.

Most avian vets take payments, you just have to ask.
