biting parrot

by john
(Texas )

When my parrot sits on top of his cage he does not let anyone pick him up. But when he flys down he loves being held and will follow us around.

Parrot bites when on cage
by: Tracie

Some parrots are cage territorial. I suggest you perch or stick train your bird. If you can get your bird to get onto a stick then you can move your bird to a play stand to interact with your bird.

We have some parrot training articles on our Parrot Training page that will help you also.

I strongly suggest you do NOT allow your bird on the floor. It could ingest something toxic, get stepped on or get trapped somewhere.
