Bleeding bird
by: Tracie

I am so glad you got the bleeding to stop, that must have been very scary!

If it is a blood feather, it is recommended that you get some tweezers and pull it out, but in all honesty I would be afraid of hurting the wiggling bird.

Many have told me that you can stop the bleeding by packing it with corn starch or flour. I have not had this happen to me, so I can not really give any advice from experience.

I am glad you will take the bird to the vet tomorrow. I hope all goes well.
