Blood vessel damage in eye of my Congo Grey

Hi Doctor, My Congo was frightened for some reason while on top of his cage, and had rough landing. I noticed that when he went back in the cage, he apparently must have damaged a blood vessel in his eye. Its red in the very corner of his eye, but there is no any external bleeding. He does open the eye, but also keeps it closed at times. He is still eating and behaving normally only 1 hour after this happened. Should I wait to see if it resolves, or take him to an avian vet?
