Blue and Gold itches

Blue and Gold Macaw

My One year old Blue and gold macaw itches a lot and she also lays down like on her side and back is that normal.. I am new to this and it kinda scared me the first time she done it

B&G itching and laying on back

Laying on their back can be normal play behavior. The itching may be just molting or grooming or it could be a skin disease. I recommend that you have your bird examined by an avian veterinarian.

showers?

do you spray your birdie often ? as they do need a shower
and a lot of tame birds wil happily lie on their backs especially the babies xx
