Blue Crown latest weaning

I recently purchased a Blue crown at a very reputable bird store. They will not let me take him home until he is fully weaned (and they are never force weaned). He is now almost 14 weeks old and still not weaned. They say he is down to once a day feeding. My question is, how long is TOO long for a bird not weaned yet? I read that BCC are usually weaned by 12 weeks. I understand that it is important to let him wean on his own time, I guess Im just getting a little anxious. Thanks for your support and advice:)
