how can i stop my blue+gold macaw thowing his food out he is healthy. my macaw is eating very well but on times just wastes his food why

Throwing food out

Lily my african grey used to do that, she found she could get the bowl out and tip it all over the floor and thought it was a good game so she kept doing it. My husband got a perch the width of the cage and put it up by the bars along where the bowls are and she can't do it anymore. Since then she hasn't chucked anymore out :-)
