Bottom of cage

by Karen
(Lake Mary, Florida)

When I got up this morning my African grey was standing at the bottom of his cage. Typically he comes out to greet me in the morning and waits for me on his perch to pick him up. Is that a strange behavior that I should be concerned about?

Now I'm looking at him and I'm not sure it's in my head of not but he isn't his normal peppy self either.

Yes, get your bird to AN AVIAN VET even if you think he seems to have perked up. Birds are very good at hiding there illness's

Bird sitting on cage botton

It would be best for you to Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird to make sure it is well.

Sitting on the bottom of the cage, lack of activity etc. are signs of illness.
