A sun conure is only called a sun conure.

You can get the yellow headed parrot, which is an amazon, a parrot, not a parakeet.

You can also get the yellow headed, yellow tailed indian ringneck (referred to as parakeets in some countries).

My guess is the term 'yellow headed parakeet' would be loosely referred to as any parakeet (not parrot) that has a yellow head. It is not a true name but something that people see in the bird so call it themselves. A sun conure couldn't be referred to as a yellow headed parakeet because their whole body, except their wings are yellow/orange. Not just the head. If someone has referred to you a sun conure as a yellow headed parakeet they are incorrect. If they have described to you a yellow headed parrot but you haven't actually seen the bird for yourself you should ask to see the bird to figure out for yourself what it actually is.

No, the Sun Conure is what he is, and the Double Yellow Headed Amazon is an entirely different species and much larger.
