broken toe from dog attack

I have a yellow indian red necked parrot that is about 7 years old. My friend came over with a small dog and we comnpletely forgot about my bird and he flew down from the the trees and the dog grabbed him by the wing and carried him in his mouth until we got to him. My bird seems to be okay. His wing is slightly punctured but is fine. I think one of his toes is either bruised or broken. Also it has been 2 days and he won't come out of his cage unless I pick him up. He seems traumatized and shocked. What should I do?
