budgie chicks with open legs

how can I ovoid the mothe bird squashing the chicks and the chick then has its legs open leaving no opcion but acrficing the chick

Since you did not give any details as to nestbox size, location or any other information, it could be that you are using too small a nestbox. I've had Cockatiels who stayed with their mother until weaning, and never had this problem because box was made for a Cockatiel size bird.

If you are using too small a nestbox, then you'll have to buy the correct size one or lose all the babies which is a waste of life.

If you have any more details to add, we'd like to hear them, but birds in the correct type and size of nestbox do not have this problem.
