Budgie eye injury

I have a male and a female budgie, they are both in breeding condition but every time they are in there nesting box they fight. Just before, I checked on them and realised that the females eye is half shut and is red. Is there anything I can do? She is still acting quite normal ( eating and drinking ) but is jumpy. What can I do??? I think that the male has pecked her eye?

Birds fighting.

Dr B can not help your birds get along and can not treat the injured bird over the Internet. Your injured bird my need medical attention to keep it from getting an infection. If you don't separate the birds, your bird may one day die from injuries.

Please keep in mind that birds can not be forced to like each other or get along. When birds attack each other, they must be kept in separate cages.
