Budgie stop eating or singing

I've had a new budgie for a few months. i let him stay in the cage for a while before i took him out so he could get comfortable. he used to sing a lot especially in the morning. for the past two weeks i've been taking him out and trying to get him to play. he's less scared now and i got him new toys for his cage. for the past 3-4days, he has stopped singing and he's eating almost nothing. i am so scared i've traumatized him. i dunno what to do. please help!

You need to take your sick bird to be examined, diagnosed and treated by an Avian Vet Only. We recommend ALL new birds be examined during the first few days because a lot of the pet store and breeder's birds are already sick with a bacterial infection from being crowded together with many other birds.

Please take your bird to Avian Vet right away because a little bird like he is will not survive more than a few days without food and water.
