budgie with curled toes

Female budgie (age unknown but at least 5 yrs old) has toes curled on one foot. Her beak is also flaking at the tip but not sure if because she is using it more when moving around to compensate for her foot. The vet here wasn't sure, suggesting an anti-inflammatory in case of injury and vitamin supplement in case of deficiency. Has been a few days with not much change (maybe too soon) but appreciate another opinion since there is no other vet to go to and this one wasn't sure.
