Budgie with tongue deformity?

My new budgie's tongue is not straight but seems to have tongue growths (like 3 circular tongues stuck together). What is this and how will this affect the budgie and what can I do about it.Thank you.

Budgie tongue - see an avain vet

You need to have this looked at by an avian specialist. I do not know what it is without looking at it, but it could be granulomas from vitamin A deficiency. IT could be cancerous growths, or yeast infection, or several other possibilities.

You will have to take your bird to an Avian Vet in your area to have this looked at. It could be a birth deformity or it could be an infection or fungal growth that needs to be treated. This will interfere with his eating and drinking and is no way normal, so you will have it looked at by an avian vet. Do not take to regular dog and cat vet because they are not licensed or trained in the care and treatment of birds.
