budgie

by Nikki
(Australia)

My budgie is about three and a half years old. Over the past week I have noticed the feathers around her right eye have been worn away so her skin is visible. And the feathers that are left look dry and dead. Also just above her right nostril (at the top of her beak) is a small pink growth underneath the hard section of nostril. She doesnt seem to be in any pain or that it is bothering her (which I know is normal for birds). I dont have enough money to take her to the vet - any suggestions? Thankyou!!

Budgie needs avian vet
by: Tracie

I am sorry, but nobody can help your bird over the Internet. The lump needs to be examined and biopsied to determine what it is.

Most avian vets take payments, you just need to ask. Please get your bird some help.
