by Hannah suitor
(Chatham ontario canada)

My budgie has been jumping down to the bottom of the page and ripping up the newspaper and i'm not sure of he is eating it or just ripping at it, what does that mean??

Budgie eating newspaper

Mainly it means that you need to purchase a cage that has a base that separates the bird from the paper. You don't want your bird to be able to go to the bottom and eat food that fell in the poop and chew poopy paper.

Our parakeets LOVE paper shredding toys, you are simply providing a poopy, chemical ridden, paper toy at the bottom of your cage.
