burke parrot with sore eye

My Burke parrot has a sore eye. Seems to have lost the feathers around the eye and eyelid is closed. I treated with medicine I use for Budgies scaly beak but does not seem to have helped.Could you please help me.

Parrot with eye problem

You need to Find an Avian Vet for your bird. Dr B can not help your bird over the Internet, because only an exam will determine what is wrong.

Treating a bird with medication without knowing what is wrong often only makes it harder for the avian vet to determine what is wrong. Sometimes the medicine masks some of the symptoms and sometimes giving the wrong medicine causes other problems on top of the original problem.

It is like giving your child a stomach medicine for an eye infection. You need to find out what is wrong and get the proper medicine for it.
